The Stray Dog
The Stray Dog was the name chosen by Clapton CFC members for the intermediate pitch at Wadham Lodge, Kitchener Road, Walthamstow, E17 4JP. This was our home ground when we formed in 2018.
The Stray Dog is the grass pitch on the left as you enter the Wadham Lodge car park. There is covered and uncovered standing.
Both the Clapton CFC Women’s and Men’s First Teams played on this pitch before we moved to the Old Spotted Dog Ground in Forest Gate in 2022 (Women’s First Team) and 2023 (Men’s First Team).
The record attendance for the Stray Dog is 1266 to see Clapton CFC Men’s First Team win the Middlesex County Football League Premier Division title in May 2019.
