Clapton Community FC men’s first team will play Woodford East at home in the BBC Essex Premier Cup semi-final after

The match will take place at the Wadham Lodge Stadium in Walthamstow on Saturday, March 5.

Woodford East are riding high in the Essex Alliance Football League and reached this stage by beating Tiptree Heath of the Essex & Suffolk Border League.

The county cup draw sees two Essex Olympian Football League teams Sungate and Catholic United meet in the other semi-final.

CCFC reached this round after overcoming four EOFL teams – Manford Way last Saturday following on from Leigh Town and Leigh Ramblers and a walkover win over Wakebury,

This is one of three cup competitions the men’s first team are still involved in. We are also in the semi-finals of the Alec Smith Premier Division Cup and the quarter-finals of the Anagram Records Trophy.
