Pitshanger Dynamo vs Clapton CFC preview: Men’s first team head to North Greenford

The Clapton CFC men’s first team head west this Saturday to face Pitshanger Dynamo in our first visit to their new ground.

Our hosts currently find themselves in the bottom three of the Middlesex County Football League Premier Division, but gave the Tons a really tough game back at the Stray Dog at the end of August.

Last time out

As already alluded to, our previous meeting with the Carrots was a close affair. Despite dominating proceedings in the first half, the Tons failed to take numerous chances and held a narrow 1-0 lead going into the break, thanks to an early Arthur Wright goal.

Dynamo came out a different side in the second half, with Finnian Racadio equalising twice, his second after Josh Adejokun had put the Tons back in front. A Noah Adejokun goal sealed the win.

About Our Opponents

Pitshanger Dynamo FC were reformed in the summer of 2010 by a former youth-team player, Alex Clark.

Along with other former members of the youth team, Alex set up the men’s team which started its rebirth in the Middlesex County Football League – Division 2.

In their first season, the Dynamo were able to win everything on offer, completing a treble of the league, league cup, and county cup.

Dynamo have been in the MCFL Premier Division since 2015/16. In the last completed league season of 2018/19, they finished third in the table, and were in seventh and third place respectively at the time each of the subsequent two Covid-affected seasons were abandoned
