About our opponents
Founded in 2000, Club de Fútbol Llosalín is based in La Ribera near Oviedo. Competing in the Asturian Regional Women’s League (Liga Autonómica Femenina), CF Llosalín hosts its home matches at the “Llosalin” ground from where it takes its name, although we will play them at
The club has earned a reputation for its fierce competitive spirit and unified teamwork. But what truly sets CF Llosalín apart is its deep-rooted commitment to local heritage. The club proudly uses the Asturian language as its primary voice for official communications and social media. They have always been a loud and proud voice for LGBTQ+ rights and community values.
Unión Club Ceares is the beating heart of a neighbourhood that has turned its passion for the game into a tool for social transformation. The club was founded in the late 1940s after the merger of two clubs, but its most defining chapter began in 2011, when it became a Fútbol Popular members-owned club. Rejecting the business-driven football model, the new board introduced an assembly-based management system where the club’s members actively decide the direction. This vision translates into a constant fight against racism, homophobia and sexism, proving that a modest club can be an agent of change.
Ceares’ social commitment extends into the cultural life of the community. Music (particularly punk, rock, ska, soul, and reggae) is a fundamental pillar of the club’s identity and the stadium, La Cruz, regularly hosts festivals and concerts that turn the neighbourhood into a meeting point for Asturian music and underground culture.
One of the most revolutionary actions in its history was the creation of the Mixed Football School in the 2015-16 season, in collaboration with Gijón Fútbol Femenino, breaking down barriers so that boys and girls could share training and values. The scheme has won multiple awards, honouring its steadfast support for LGBTIQ+ rights on the terraces and in sport.
In short, UC Ceares is a club where literary gatherings, assemblies, and concerts carry as much weight as results on the pitch, proving that another, fairer and more people-centred way of understanding football is possible.
