Meet the new Clapton CFC Men’s First Team signings for 2025/26 season – updated

The Clapton CFC Men’s First Team management were busy over the summer signing new players for the Eastern Counties League Division One South season. Here are the ones who have made their competitive debuts so far…

A couple more names are still waiting to make their debuts too – more details to come. Welcome to all.

Nathan Cook

A warm welcome back to the Old Spotted Dog Ground to Nathan Cook, who played at London’s oldest senior football ground for three seasons from 2015 in a midfield alongside the likes of James Briggs, Paul Oshin and Geoff Ocran. The classy midfielder, 35, made his league debut against Basildon Town.

Pete Jamieson

Box-to-box midfielder Pete Jamieson scored in our 5-3 friendly win against Sporting Bengal United and made his league debut against Basildon Town. The 28-year-old played alongside Geoff Ocran for ANM in the Ilford and District Church League and as a child for Crystal Palace Academy.

Will Wright

Will Wright was the trialist who scored our 500th competitive goal against Dunstable Town in the Brian Lomax Cup and played in the league game against Basildon Town. The 25-year-old defender played in the Manchester Premier League as a teenager and then for Loughborough University, FC Británicos in Madrid and Nottsborough FC.

Korahn Gayle

Attacker Korahn Gayle is the latest Men’s Development Team talent to make the step up into the Men’s First Team squad. In fact he’s currently the top scorer in the Inner London Football League’s Summer League for the Devs. He’s an attacking midfielder/striker who likes to run at defenders with the ball and made an impressive Men’s First Team debut as sub against Dunmow Town, including an assist. Korahn’s mainly played in Bristol before, including for Avon Plate, Lebeqs Tavern Courage and Easton Cowboys. In London’s he’s played for Middlesbrough Supporters South.

Nico Bunduku

Teenage striker Nico Bunduku has signed for Clapton CFC after an impressive pre-season including scoring two against Lymore Gardens and playing in the cup win against Dunstable. The former Galleywood and Ilford U23s player is looking to get in among the goals and assists – and indeed grabbed an assist on his league debut against Burnham Ramblers.

Flavien Stierlen

Flavien Stierlen plays as a striker or winger and is looking to bring some French flair to our attack. The 26-year-old previously played in Paris and his hometown Bordeaux, as well as for an Aquitane regional representative team. Flavien scored against Dunstable game coming off the bench then made his league debut away at former club Brimsdown, for whom he scored 6 goals last season.

Enzo Pina

Enzo Pina made his debut in the cup against AS London having impressing in pre-season friendlies. The 19-year-old is mainly a box-to-box midfielder but can also play full-back. Last year he played for Billericay Town u23s and while at school spent some time at Port Vale. Enzo is looking to make this his breakout year and create a buzz in the men’s game.

Chris Mathers

Experienced goalkeeper Chris Mathers made his competitive debut against AS London and kept a clean sheet in the 90 minutes. He’s a vocal communicator who is comfortable playing out and sweeping up.

Chris also plays for AFC Muswell Hill in the Barnet Sunday League where he has won four promotions in a row and the Golden Glove for the last two seasons.

He’s also played for Alexandra Park and before that in Scotland for Lokomotiv Glasgow, Corkerhill and Aikenhead.
