Clapton CFC’s women’s development team are kicking off for a third season in the Clapham Women’s Saturday Football League.

The team finished sixth in the Premier Division last season, after being promoted from the division below in their first season together.

The season kicks off on September 3 with a game against newly promoted, and fabulously named, Franchester United.

The captain will be Allana Scoble with Lauren Ryan and Harriet Plows as the vice-captains.

One major difference this season is that the venue for all games in the league has now changed and are no longer at Clapham Common.

All matches, home or away, will now take place on Tooting Common on Saturdays.

Spectators are welcome, it’s open park so bring your own refreshments.
