Membership rates
Members can decide which annual rate is appropriate for them. The new rates as of 01/01/2026 are:
Youth: £1 per year
Concession: £6 per year
Standard: £12 per year
Solidarity: £24, £36 or £48 per year
Your membership will run for one calendar year from the date of payment. You can either choose auto-renewal or you can renew each year.
Please note whatever rate you choose, you only have one share. All members are equal regardless of what they pay.

Equal share
Signing up for membership gives you an equal and vital say in what happens with our club. At whatever rate you sign up – you are entitled to one vote and one vote only.
£1 from your first year’s membership will be for a share in the club.
Share certificate
New members will get a PDF of their share certificate in the club emailed to them, which you download and print out if you wish.
Membership card
Each season members receive a new membership card which is now digital. You can access it online or on your phone and you can add it to your Google/Apple wallet.
You’ll also get a PDF if you want to print out a physical card.
Membership badge
Every season we produce a new membership badge and every paid-up member is entitled to one each season.
We are no longer posting out membership badges on their own due to postal issues but don’t worry, there will still be a new membership badge available to all members each and every season.
1 Collect the membership badge each season in person from games at the Old Spotted Dog Ground (show your membership card at the Merch stall)
2 By post from the online store. You can get the badge on its own, but will need to pay postage. But if you buy any other item, you will find it’s no extra postage.
So all members, wherever you live, will still get chance to pick up a badge.
Email newsletter
Members receive an email newsletter each week (sometimes less frequently in the summer) with the latest news from the club and its committees, much of which doesn’t appear on the website or social media.
If you’re not receiving the newsletter and you think you should…
- Check that your membership hasn’t expired – if so please renew
- Check it’s not gone in to your email provider’s spam or junk folder
- If no joy, please email comms@claptoncfc.co.uk and we can look into it
You can also view an archive of newsletters here – this is password protected, email comms@claptoncfc.co.uk for the password
Join a committee (if you want!)
Our club is run on a day to day basis by committees, such as Women’s First Team, Finance or Comms. A full list of the committees can be found here. Members are welcome to join one (or more) of those committees if they want. It would be great to have you on board.
Meetings/online votes
From time to time you will receive emails asking you to vote on certain issues online and invitations to General and Annual General Meetings. Members make these big decisions with one equal vote each.
Some of the decisions that we’ve put to a special vote of the membership have been the choice of home kit and away kit and to pay for the changing rooms at our Old Spotted Dog Ground home.
Accountability
We have adopted an Accountability Agreement that sets out our values in detail. Please take the time to read it here.
