Match preview // Ebbsfleet United vs Clapton CFC Women’s First Team // 01.11.26

Ebbsfleet United vs Clapton Community FC takes place on Sunday, November 1 2026 with a 2pm kick off at Guru Nanak Sports Club, Trinity Rd, Gravesend DA12 1LU

After going without a game for 14 days, this will be the third game in a frantic week for Clapton CFC.

Ahead of Thursday night’s home game against Dulwich Hamlet Res, the team are unbeaten in four games including a draw against then league leaders Maidstone United on Sunday. So confidence will be returning after a disappointing start to the season.

However, Ebbsfleet will also be eyeing up a chance to move up the table, boasting the division’s top scorer with a phenomenal 15 goals in 8 games.

Arguably the biggest reason to come and watch is that it’s our first visit to one of the country’s iconic football non-league grounds, which is next to the largest gurdwara in Europe.

About the opposition

The present day Ebbsfleet United formed in 2016 as Kent Football United and after three promotions reached the fourth tier of the women’s football pyramid. When relegated to tier 5 in 2022, they rebranded as Ebbsfleet United. They enjoyed some high-profile FA Cup runs and went close to promotion again, while building up a set-up with 120 women’s players. However, last season they were relegated to tier 6 and hence we shall meet for the first time.
