Clapton CFC looking for new head coach for women’s first team

The Clapton CFC women’s first team are looking for a new head coach after Koral resigned from the role last week.

He joined the club in August, taking over from long-serving Claudio Gomes. The highlight of his 11-game spell in charge being the 14-0 Women’s FA Cup win against St Margaretsbury, a club record win. We wish him all the best for the future.

Senior members of the playing squad are taking training sessions and also running match days for now, with support from coach Brian Bramble. The first game in this caretaker period saw a 6-1 cup win at London Seaward Reserves on Sunday!

The women’s first team committee are aiming to have a new coaching set-up by Christmas. The job ad is here – please do share it with people or groups who might be interested. Any questions, email womensteams@claptoncfc.co.uk

It’s been a turbulent time for the team so please do come along and back them particularly with a tough run of three home games in a row (leaving us only 3 more for the whole of the season!)
