Clapton CFC women’s first team and men’s development games off due to Covid surge

The final game of 2021 for the women’s first team on December 19 has been postponed due to the worsening Covid situation.

The Greater London Women’s Football League made the decision on Thursday to postpone all fixtures in all divisions that day so there is a clear three week break.

The team’s next game is due to take place on Sunday, January 9, an away game at South East Parakeets in the John Greenacre Memorial Trophy.

The men’s development team’s final game of the year on the same day is also off with the Hackney & Leyton Sunday League postponing all games.

As it stands, the men’s first team game away at Brentham is still going ahead this weekend.
