Clapton CFC attacker Noah Adejokun moves up a division to sign for Sporting Bengal

Clapton CFC Men’s First Team attacker Noah Adejokun has signed for Essex Senior League side Sporting Bengal United ahead of the new season.

It’s always bittersweet when a player leaves to move up the divisions and none more so than Noah, who joined us in 2019 to play alongside his older brother Josh.

Noah, 24, has the third most appearances for the Clapton CFC Men’s First Team with 168 and the third biggest haul of goals too with 66.

Manager Geoff Ocran said:

Noah has been with Clapton since he was 17, after we picked him up from grassroots football, similar to Josh. He made his senior football debut with us and has been influential ever since. He scored on his debut vs Sporting Hackney and famously scored a brace in the first ever Clapton CFC vs FC derby. Another double in beating the eventual champions Benfleet a month later proved his pedigree to score big goals in big games at this level.

It’s a well-deserved move to test himself and he’s at the right age to see how high he can climb up the pyramid. In terms of ability, Noah’s ceiling is very high and it can only improve by playing at a more senior level. Our job as a management team is to nurture players, improve them, and if there’s an avenue to progress then by all means we’ll wish them well.

An exciting young talent ready to make his mark at step 5 this season. Noah scored consistently at Clapton previously and has been on good form in preseason already. Big season ahead and we’re excited to see how he gets on.

Good luck, Noah, and thanks for all your efforts in a Clapton shirt.
