Clapton CFC Men’s First Team will play six games across July to warm up for the return to the Eastern Counties League Division One South.

Geoff Ocran and his management team will no doubt be taking a look at plenty of trialists ahead of the league season, which will begin on July 26.

The highlights of pre-season include two games against fan-owned team. Firstly there’s the away friendly at Peacehaven & Telscombe, just outside Brighton, on July 12, part of our South Coast weekender with the Women’s First Team playing at Eastbourne Borough the next day. That’s followed by the Brian Lomax Cup at home to Dunstable Town on July 19.

Four games are against step 5 teams (one higher than us) in Dunstable, Hackney Wick, Peacehaven and Sporting Bengal United. We also play one fellow step 6 side in Lymore Gardens plus step 7 Greengate District.
