The make-up of the Clapton CFC Women/NB Reserves team’s division has now been confirmed and the first fixtures are out too.
The Reserves remains in the Greater London Women’s Football League Division One North for a second season and it’s an eight-team division:
- Camden & Islington United
- Clapton CFC Reserves
- Enfield Town Development
- Fusion
- Hackney Reserves
- QPR Development
- Tower Hamlets
- Wealdstone
Four of our seven opponents are new to the division. The top three in the Division Two North have been promoted in Fusion, Wealdstone and Tower Hamlets. We also welcome QPR Development who are new entrants into the league.
We say goodbye to three teams from last season – champions United Dragons. runners-up East Finchley and fourth-placed London Galaxy – via promotion.
Third place Camden & Islington United declined promotion and there were no relegations out of the division. Meanwhile from the division above, AFC Leyton and Islington Borough were reprieved relegation so won’t be joining us.
Sadly, it looks like East London FC, who were in our division and based at Wanstead Flats, have withdrawn. In the division above, regular opponents Comets have also disappeared.
The 2026/27 season begins on Sunday, September 6 and the first 8 league games have been released. The season must finish by Sunday, April 25.
Additionally, three group fixtures in the relaunched Greater London Women’s Football League Trophy have been confirmed. The Reserves are in Group B along with QPR Development, South London Reserves and Tooting Bec Reserves.
The team’s home games remain at Hackney Marshes with home kick-offs on Sundays at 10.30am and supporter are very welcome.
And a reminder that Johanna Kuoso has stepped up to be the new head coach.
