Taylan Gul’s farewell message as he leaves Clapton CFC

While we have been welcoming new faces to the Clapton CFC squads this summer, we’ve also lost a few players.

For the Men’s First Team, the most prominent departure was Noah Adejokun to Sporting Bengal United, alongside Noah Salama to NW London and Josh George to Cannons Wood.

Another player moving on is striker Taylan Gul, who scored 8 goals in 36 games across two season.

He scored on his debut against Burnham Ramblers – a memorable goal from an indirect free-kick in the box awarded for their goalkeeper picking up his own goal kick.

Taylan wrote on Instagram:

Truly been a pleasure and privilege to be a part of this community. Made so many friends and memories at this special club – thanks for capturing the moments so well. So grateful to have played in front of the best supporters in non-league. Thanks for all the support and encouragement. Good time for me to move on but will always be supporting and wishing Clapton all the best. Lots of love, Tay 💜
