Become a trustee for the Old Spotted Dog Ground Trust

The Old Spotted Dog Ground Trust is looking to add new trustees.

The trust is responsible for maintaining, developing and managing the OSD grounds including the clubhouse, the bar and the warehouse.

It is an independent entity from the club itself and last year gained charity status.

We are going through exciting times with getting the OSD up to a standard so that both of the CCFC first teams’ home games can be played there.

We also have an exciting opportunity in our hands to develop the recently purchased warehouse to a place the whole community will benefit from.

Some of our key tasks are to balance the needs of the football club whilst meeting those of the local community, and maintain excellent relationships with our stakeholders.

We believe the board of trustees should be a reflection of the diverse community we operate in. We also positively encourage applications from women and non-binary people.

We are looking for commitment in time and effort. In this role you’ll be expected to play an active part and get stuck in, be it arranging quotes from contractors for various jobs, chatting to our neighbours, or volunteering on a match day.

Most of our communication is done via Telegram and we have monthly meetings via Zoom.

In return you will get to be part of running the oldest senior football ground in London and it’s pretty much a guarantee you will learn something new and unexpected!

You will of course be eased in and supported by the existing trustees.

Please see more details in the application form.

Applications close by midnight Sunday 12th February 2023

  1. Before asking for women, I’d make sure your accountability process is up to scratch. At the minute, anything to do with CCFC isn’t okay for women.

  2. Is there a reason my comments aren’t being put up? I think I have a right to comment on your appeal for women trustees. The club has shown (and is still showing) it can’t look after its women.

Potential trustees have a right to know.

Women, honestly, 11 months of fighting for accountability after a sexist incident at this club. They still haven’t sorted it.

Take your passion else where. Please.
