The Cherry Red Books Middlesex County Football League Premier Division table has been given a big unexpected shake-up today after bottom side AVA withdrew.
It’s one of the biggest games of the season so far for the men’s first team as they visit Shepherd’s Bush at Rectory Park in Northolt on Saturday.
It’s a two-way battle for promotion from the MCFL Premier Division as Clapton CFC men’s first team and Shepherd’s Bush are the only applicants.
One more game down and hopefully another week closer to the Old Spotted Dog Ground with Clapton CFC still top of the division, although just two games in.
Saturday’s game marks the 100th competitive game for the Clapton Community men’s first team.
The Clapton CFC men’s first team now know the 14 other teams they will be facing.
