As previously announced, the Essex Senior Football League game against West Essex originally scheduled for Saturday, October 10 has been postponed.

This is because he opponents are in FA Vase action instead, which takes priority over league games.

So a very low-key friendly has been arranged against Sporting Hackney, kick off 2pm.

Anyone is welcome to attend, the gates and toilets will be open but that’s about it, no clubhouse, bar, merch etc.

Recent bad challenges on the likes of Adam Sidky, Fred Taylor, Samir Sedaoui, Bailey Pryce and Emmanuel Olasehinde have added to the already long injury list.

So it should be a good chance for the coaching staff to run the rule over other members of the squad and maybe some new faces.
