The highlight of our summer friendlies were our international games – the double header trip to Gijon on Saturday, July 4 to play UC Ceares and CF Llosalín.

The Women’s First Team have now confirmed five further friendlies to prepare for the new London & South East Regional Women’s Football League Division One North season.

On Saturday, July 18 it’s CCFC vs CCFC as we visit fellow tier 6 side Chelmsford City at their Melbourne Stadium. It’s a rare Saturday game as it’s part of a double header – Chelmsford’s men’s team host Ipswich Town U21s at 3pm then it’s a super-quick turnaround for the women’s game at 5.15pm.

Tickets for both games are available now but if you only want to attend the women’s game, you can email marketing@chelmsfordcityfc.com. Sadly it clashes with the Clapton CFC Men’s First Team game against New York International FC, otherwise there would likely have been a decent away following for this.

On Sunday, July 26 it’s an away day in Hertfordshire as we visit tier 5 side Harpenden Town. Kick off at their Rothamsted Park home.

Our first home friendly of the summer after reseeding on the Old Spotted Dog Ground pitch will be against another tier 5 side, Haringey Borough, 8pm on Tuesday, July 28.

We then have a local derby against tier 7 team AFC Leyton on Sunday, August 2. That’s a 3pm kick off at Salisbury Hall Playing Fields in Walthamstow.

The final friendly is at home to tier 5 Hammersmith – last season’s L&SERWL Division One North champions. That’s at the OSD on Sunday, August 9 at 2pm.

The league season will begin the following Sunday, August 16. We don’t have the fixtures yet but the first are due to be released on Monday, July 20.

The Women’s FA Cup begins with the Preliminary Round on Sunday, August 23 although in recent seasons we’ve entered in the next round, the First Qualifying Round, which would be on Sunday, September 6.
