May & Baker Eastbrook Community FC vs Clapton Community FC takes place on Saturday, October 18 2025 with a 3pm kick off at Leisure United Parsloes Park, Bobby Moore Sports Hub, Parsloes Avenue, Terrace Walk, Dagenham, RM9 5PU.
After four wins in a row, Clapton have moved up into the play-off places and will be full of confidence against May & Baker.
However, our hosts are tipped to be challenging near the top themselves come the end of the season, and will be looking to kick on after an average start.
It’s a rare battle between two teams with Community in their name.
This will be our first competitive visit to Parsloes Park, aka the Bobby Moore Sports Hub. It’s a new £13 million(!) football hub in Dagenham.
If you can’t make this game, we do have a big football match at the Old Spotted Dog Ground as the newly-formed CCFC FTFA team take on Goal Diggers.
About the opposition
May & Baker FC is the former works team for the chemical factory which operated in Dagenham until 2014. The football team can trace its history back to 1923 and until 2018 played next to the factory, but had to move first to Barking Rugby Club and then Aveley’s Parkside in order to climb up the levels. Last season they moved into their new permanent home at Parsloes Park, also home to Essex Senior League side Athletic Newham.
The club – now called the May & Baker Eastbrook Community Club to incorporate the name of the area of Dagenham – have been in the Eastern Counties League Division One South since it was founded in 2018 and have finished as high as fourth in the table.
Form guide
May & Baker are sat in mid-table with 4 wins, 4 draws and 5 losses, with play-offs within their grasp with a few more victories. This summer they appointed the management team that led Sporting Bengal United to back-to-back promotions, so they’re fully expected to kick on further up the table.
Previous meetings
This will be our third meeting. Two seasons ago, a superb performance saw us win 5-3 away at their then home of Aveley’s Parkside on a Friday night. In the home game on a Tuesday night, we won 2-0.
Player/s to watch
Both Rowan Newland and Reon George are averaging a goal every other game.
Admission
Standard admission is £7, with seniors £3 and children £3.
Enter via the leisure centre entrance and we will be playing on the main pitch, named after Trevor Brooking.
It has four metal stands – two with seats and two for standing. There’s a cafe inside the leisure centre, and possibly a snack bar kiosk by the pitch, but no bar/booze.
Directions
It’s a 13-minute walk from Becontree, or 15 minutes from Dagenham Heathway, both on the District Line.
