Soccer Elite Football Academy vs Clapton Community FC is on Sunday, September 28 2025 at 2.30pm at Star Meadow, Darland Avenue, Gillingham ME7 3AN
After the highs of last week’s FA Cup win in Cambridgeshire, it’s back to league duty for the Clapton CFC Women’s First Team. And it’s another long old trip, this time south to Kent.
With CCFC recording two wins and two defeats so far in the London & South East Regional Women’s Football League, this tricky game against Soccer Elite Football Academy (who pushed all the way in our meeting last season) is a good test of whether we can challenge near the top.
About the opposition
The Soccer Elite Football Academy were laterally moved from the LSERWFL Division One South to the North this season. Last season was their first at this level after winning an impressive league and cup double before. That promotion was gained under the name XL FC but last year they merged into the existing SEFA. As well as the women’s first team, SEFA offer full-time education programmes, academies and youth teams from under 10 upwards for both boys and girls. The club is based at Star Meadow Sports Complex in Gillingham, which is also home to Hollands & Blair of the SCEFL Premier Division.
