The Clapton CFC Women’s First Team recorded an impressive victory to wrap up the friendlies before the season begins on Sunday.

Although a division lower, Comets had beaten us on penalties in the cup last season, and have won more of the meetings over the years.

But first half goals from Marta Casanovas (placed beautifully into the right corner) and two from Egle Trezzi (both smashed into the other corner) put us clear. A fourth came in the second half through Kia.

Comets had their moments, including having a goal disallowed for offside and seeing a shot bounce over the bar. But after some misfortune in pre-season, a first clean sheet was deserved.
