The Clapton CFC Women’s First Team started pre-season with a heavy defeat as part of our weekend on the South Coast.

The team took an early lead through Emily Link, powering through the defence and beating the keeper. However, it proved tough out there in the heat against a home team who won every league game last season.

Eastbourne’s goals were scored by Izzy Payne (3), Jasmine Marsland (2), Kellie Larkin, Megan Griffiths and Beth Creese.
