Clapton Community FC vs Soccer Elite Football Academy takes place on Sunday, March 30 2025 with a 2pm kick off at the Old Spotted Dog Ground, Forest Gate, East London.
The Clapton CFC Women’s First Team will play Gillingham-based Soccer Elite Football Academy at home in the London & South East Regional Women’s League Trophy semi-finals.
The fixture will take place on Sunday, March 30, 2pm, at our Old Spotted Dog Ground home. We’re looking for a big attendance, so bring yourself, your family, mates, colleagues, pets etc.
This match is part of Football v Transphobia week and it’s a Baller FC meet-up too.
Baller FC was born out of a desire to create inclusive spaces to watch women’s football after years of tromping between pubs that either refused to show the WSL or relegated it to a tiny TV in the dingiest corner of the bar.
They host watch parties for WSL matches and more, drawing nearly 500 people to their World Cup Final event in 2023. On March 30th, they’re bringing their party to the OSD.
WSL games will be streaming in the clubhouse, Ballers will be chipping bins and playing beats, the drinks will be flowing.
Soccer Elite Football Academy play at the same level as us, but in the South division while we’re in the North.
We beat East London rivals Hackney 2-0 in the quarter-finals and higher division Ashford United 3-0 in the second round, having received a bye in the first round.
