Introducing Clapton CFC women’s first team new signings this season

Six players have made their debuts for the women’s first team so far this season and we thought it was finally time to give you a bit more information…

Paula Griffin

The Goal Diggers and Peckham Town goalkeeper has helped fill the void left by Polly Adams’ departure due to work commitments, with Chelsie Sparks also stepping up.

Lesley McGowan

The former Liverpool FC defender won player of the match on her debut then has been out injured ever since, but is hopeful of a return soon.

Daisy Davis

A recruit from Leyton Orient, the former University of East London captain and West Ham player has come in at left-back and excelled in cutting out so many through balls.

Lily Smith

The former Lewes and Saltdean defender joined in this summer and become a virtual ever-present, helping us cope with injuries to last season’s full-backs Mim Chadwick and Chelsie Osborne.

Coco Briden

Former Hackney midfielder who has also represented England Deaf football and futsal teams.

Natalia Valdes

Super-fast tricky winger, whose debut was frustratingly delayed due to international clearance.
