Clapton CFC return to league action this Sunday, heading west for an away fixture at Denham United.
After an emphatic return to winning ways last Sunday in the Capital Women’s Cup, the Clapton CFC Women’s First Team are once again in cup action, this time in the London & South East Regional Women’s League Trophy.
Clapton CFC’s first competitive victory at the reopened Old Spotted Dog taking the women’s team to the top of the league table.
Sunday will see the second competitive game at the Old Spotted Dog – London’s oldest senior football ground – with Clapton CFC as owners.
CCFC were promoted from the seventh tier this summer, while Denham were relegated by just a single point in a very tight fifth tier.
Clapton CFC women’s first team have been promoted into the sixth tier of women’s football with the full 11-team division now announced.
