Our annual collection for the Newham Toy Appeal will take place at our next two home games – Men’s First Team vs Hutton on Saturday, November 22 and Women’s First Team vs Richmond & Kew on Sunday, November 23.
This year, as well as a bucket shake, we’re running a stall selling rare and old Clapton related merch that is all being donated by fellow fans. You’ll find the stall next to the regular merch stand inside the Old Spotted Dog Ground clubhouse.
If you can, please bring in any donations of rare stickers, old programmes, shirts that don’t fit any more, scarves you’ve got two of, snoods you don’t have space for etc.
You can then buy some of these rarities at both Saturday and Sunday games – there will be different stock at each game too so come to both.
In total Clapton fans have raised over £5000 over the years for the appeal. Thanks so much for your generosity.
About the Newham Christmas Toy Appeal

The 48th year of the Newham Christmas Toy Appeal was launched by West Ham United
Women’s first team players, pictured above.
The appeal provides a stocking of new gifts to children who may otherwise have nothing to unwrap on Christmas Day. It’s organised by local charity Ambition, Aspire, Achieve and the Newham Recorder newspaper. In recent years, it’s been renamed to honour its founder, Kevin Jenkins.
In Newham, over 50% of local children are now growing up in poverty. In the cost-of-living crisis, the appeal is receiving more requests for help than ever before.
All money donated will be spent on buying presents for thousands of Newham’s most under-privileged children in advance of Christmas Day.
