The first ever El Claptico took place today – a competitive game between two Clapton CFC teams.

The CCFC Men’s Development Team faced the Men’s Over 35s in the Inner London Football League’s Summer League Division One at Mabley Green.

It ended in a big win for the Devs – 8-0, including a double hat-trick for Korahn Gayle – that puts them top of the table.

For the Over 35s it’s the tough pre-season workout against younger opponents they were looking for ahead of their first season in the Essex Veterans League.
