Clapton CFC Men’s First Team season opener away at FC Romania, due to take place this Saturday, has been postponed.
Cheshunt – where FC Romania groundshare – report that their Theobalds Lane pitch is not ready for the new season.
FC Romania were unable to find another pitch rental except for the Old Spotted Dog Ground, but Eastern Counties League say their rules won’t allow for it to be played there.
So sadly the game is postponed and will be played at a later date. The Men’s First Team’s new season will therefore now start with two home games:
- Tuesday, July 29 vs Basildon Town
- Saturday, August 2 vs Dunmow Town
