Clapton CFC pre-season double header weekend on the South Coast

Pack your bucket hat and suntan lotion because Clapton CFC are heading to the coast for a weekend featuring two pre-season friendlies.

We’re hoping lots of CCFC fans will attend both games – with a night out in Brighton in between perhaps – but you could make it just a seaside day return trip to one or the other too.

There is no overseas trip this summer – following on from the Madrid double header last season, pictured at the top of the page – but hopefully we can arrange one for next summer.

The CCFC Men’s First Team will play Peacehaven & Telscombe, on Saturday, July 12 at 3pm.

The hosts are a fellow fan-owned club who play at Step 5, one level above us. They finished seventh in the Southern Combination Football League Premier Division last season, just outside the play-offs.

Their home ground is in Peacehaven, a bus ride from Brighton. Entrance is by donation.

Due to a local fair being held next door, there is no parking at the ground except for blue badge holders. However, there are other free car parks within walking distance, for instance Piddinghoe Avenue Car Park is an 8-minute walk.

The CCFC Women’s First Team will then play Eastbourne Borough on Sunday, July 13 at 3pm. The hosts have just been promoted to tier 6, the same level as us, with an immaculate 14 wins out of 14 in their title winning season.

The game is at their stadium in Langney in Eastbourne. It’s free entry and the clubhouse bar and coffee hut will be open.
