Farewell to Coach Ruudy after two seasons with Clapton CFC

Clapton CFC Men’s First Team coach Ridhwaan Yusuf, better known as Coach Ruudy, has announced he’s moving on from his role after two seasons.

Ruudy wrote on Instagram: “Another chapter done… time to write the next! After two incredible seasons it’s time to step away from my role as first team coach.

Wasn’t an easy decision at all and I’m going to miss it for sure but it was the right time. Securing play-offs last season and just missing out and finishing this season off with silverware was the perfect ending.

To all the lads I want to say a massive thank you. They are an incredible group and I have no doubt promotion is around the corner. Huge thanks also to Geoff, Sham and the other coaches who have always made me feel right at home and trusted me with the role. Lastly, the fans.. An absolutely incredible atmosphere week in week out. Hands down the best set of fans I’ve seen across non league. Thank you for the kind words and encouragement always. Wish everyone at the club all the best. No doubt our paths will cross again!”

All at Clapton CFC wish him well and thanks for a truly memorable few years.
