August 2022 income and expenditure

Expenditure fell to £5631,38 in August, down from £8021,08 in July.

The large items of spending of training pitches and match officials are back this month, with training pitch hire for the Women’s First Team totaling £2533,46 for the months of July to October 2022 and pitch and ground hire totaling £950 and £145,84 for the Men’s First Team this month. The costs of match officials rose this month, costing £390 for the Men’s First Team, £60 for the Women’s First Team and £40 for the Men’s Development Team.

This month, like last month, saw spending on registration to Cups and Leagues: £630 wasspent on Super 5 League registration for the Access for Women team, £110 for the Men’s Development Team League registration, and £25 for their Cup registration.

Now that the club is putting on games at the Old Spotted Dog, we pay matchday security, totalling to £144 this month.

The main items of spending for the Communications Committee were the usual postage fees, with roughly £58,20 spent on standard postage, £151,17 on zero rated postage, £2,52 on exempt postage. £41,79 on MailChimp credits and £3,49 on online store costs.

The Youth Training spent £160 on a FA coaching course. 

The finance committee spent the usual monthly £24,70 on the accounting software and £10,28 on bank charges, along with £19 on long term storage and £6,85 on postage fees.

Small items of spending involve kit laundry for the Men’s Development team (£60), refreshments for the Men’s First Team (£12,11) and the Men’s Development team (£35), and stickers for kits (£17,98).

The Club’s income jumped up to £14 647,31 in August, more than double that of July’s (£6297,57).

Merchandise brought in £6142,54 this month (after the deduction of PayPal fees of £302,22) whilememberships brought in £4030,68 (after £234,32 deduction in fees). This was the result of 235 membership renewals and 34 new members.

Generous Match Day donations were given for the Men’s First Team (£1024,55) as well as the Women’s First Team (£552,07). Other donations totaled £1383,50 this month, as well as £250 of donations for the Women’s 5 sessions, and £431,07 for the Youth Training sessions, and £30,68 of direct debit donations. 

The Club was also awarded a one-off £500 Empower SVS Grant this month.

In reporting the club’s expenditure, VAT is listed separately. In August, we collected £617,08 and spent £78,61.

THE OLD SPOTTED DOG GROUND

Expenditure on our new home is managed by the Old Spotted Dog Ground Trust (OSDGT), the subsidiary company we set up. However, like the club, spending will appear on the OSDGT website and for transparency.
