The Clapton CFC Men’s First Team recorded a 3-1 win in their first friendly of pre-season at Redbridge FC’s Oakside Stadium.

Adam Sidky scored the game’s opening goal, heading in a James Briggs corner. Hosts Lymore Gardens – who have just been promoted into the same division as us – soon equalised.

However, two neat finishes in quick succession from a trialist striker put us 3-1 before half-time. The second half saw no goals, although Tami Unuefa won a penalty but saw it saved.
