Clapton CFC Men’s First Team have been drawn away against Stansted in their first appearance in the FA Vase first round proper. The tie will take place on Saturday, October 19.
Stansted play one level higher than us, in the Essex Senior League, so will be strong favourites. They also boast the division’s top scorer in Correy Davidson. The Airportmen beat Burnham Ramblers 2-0 in the second qualifying round on Saturday.
After a bye in the first qualifying round, CCFC won their second qualifying round tie against Hoddesdon Town in a nail-biting penalty shoot-out.
